Things that you REALLY like in factions...
Having played a grand total of 2 hours (1 hour last night and 1 hour this morning -- there are those of us that have stressful workloads...) I have to say that I really like it.
BIG BIG PLUS: the henchmen spoke! Yes, while traveling through Tears of the Fallen, Little Thom mentioned: "Must get good fishing here. Look at that monster off shore."
While walking along the beach, Claude said "I don't understand sand."
This is a big plus for me, because I've always wanted the henchmen to have more personality...
BIG PLUS: the new armor crafting style -- where you can get armor of the same skin with the different stats --> great idea. Now if only some people can post up pics of their new armor skins (and what they correspond to)... (Not the preview stuff thread, which I've seen).
Minor Pet Peeve: the pseudo-chinese characters in Cantha -- please those characters look like they belong on the take-out containers from a cheap Americanized Chinese restaurant. I don't mind them not being correct Chinese character, but could we at least get the brush-strokes right? [okay, okay, I said it's a pet peeve...]

From what I have played I must say the environment. There are tons more NPCs that talk much more, the sounds are hugely improved, and the overal sight and feel is better. You don't feel as limited as to where you are and where you can go as in Prophesies. It feels much more open and real feeling. The updated graphical models and shaders roox too.

I really like the armor and weapons crafters, actually something useful there. However, I really hate the quests that have you go back and forth between npcs about a million times, and the limited exploration opportunities early on (blocked gates ftl). Feels like old Ascalon in the sense that you start in a dark, decrepid area, only it almost makes me not want to keep playing due to lack of interest. However, I can't wait until I get to the areas shown in the FPE.

I love the NPCs, I also like being able to interact with Tengu. I dont very much like the streets, they annoy me a lot. The new henchmen are really cool. sign me up for the tengu-henchmen fan club. The waeapons... dont even get me started. I love it, just leave it at that >.>
